Ting Mobile APN Settings

Ting Mobile APN (Access Point Name) settings for cellular devices using Ting Mobile are essential to be set up so the devices can correctly connect to the cellular network and receive network services like the internet over 4G and 5G cell networks and more. To successfully connect to the internet, you will need to be within network coverage and with an active data plan.

APN is basically the name of the gateway on the service provider’s network. The setting comes with a host of other settings like the type of setting, protocol in use and network services like MMS.

These settings are normally determined by your SIM once connected to the network. In situations that your device cannot fetch these settings automatically, they are provided below for Androids and iPhones or any other device requiring them.

APN Settings on Android Devices

Access the APN settings page on Android by navigating to;

  1. Settings
  2. Connections / Network & internet / Wireless & internet / More
  3. Mobile networks / SIMs then select Ting Mobile
  4. Access point name
  5. Add  / +

Type the Ting Mobile APN settings below.

Fields that are not indicated below should be left blank or default values.

  • Name: Ting Mobile
  • APN: wireless.dish.com
  • MMSC: http://wholesale.mmsmvno.com/mms/wapenc
  • MMS Port: 80
  • MCC: 310
  • MNC: 240
  • APN type: default,admin,fota,mms,supl,hipri,internet,dun
  • APN protocol: IPv4/IPv6
  • APN Roaming protocol: IPv4/IPv6

Save then select Ting Mobile as your active APN then restart your Android device. 

You can also select use wholesale as your APN if wireless.dish does not work.

APN Settings on iPhones / iOS

Navigate to the location below then input the APN on your iOS.

  1. Settings
  2. Cellular / Mobile Data / Mobile Service
  3. Cellular Data Network / Mobile Data Network

Input the Ting Mobile APN settings below.

Ting Mobile APN Settings for iPhone

  • APN: wireless.dish.com
  • Username:
  • Password:

Tap the back arrow and turn off and on your mobile data.

 Change your APN to wholesale if wireless.dish does not work on your device.
