AT&T APN (Access point Name) is a setting on cellular devices using the AT&T network to access the internet and other network resources. A successful internet connection requires users to have an active data plan and be within network coverage. AT&T has one of the widest 4G and 5G network coverage in North America. Network connectivity should never be an issue. If you are experiencing slow internet, there is a chance you are out of fast data plan and need to refill.Â
APN is essentially the name of the gateway on the service provider’s network that devices connect to. It comes with a host of other settings that are to be configured together. These include the MMS and the type of APN. The settings provided below are for Android and iOS/ iPhones. You can adapt them to work on an AT&T Windows phone, PC or any other operating system.Â
APN Settings on Android Phones
Access the APN setting section on Android by navigating to:
- Settings
- Connections / Network & internet / Wireless & internet / More
- Mobile networks / SIMs then select AT&T
- Access point names
- Add / +
