Optimum Mobile APN Settings

Optimum Mobile APN (Access Point Name) is a setting that allows mobile devices to connect to the cellular networks and the internet. A successful internet connection requires a data plan and network coverage. Optimum Mobile uses the T-Mobile network to provide nationwide coverage.

APN is basically the name of the gateway and this setting comes with a host of other settings like MMS and the type of APN, the protocol in use and more. The article shows Optimum Mobile APN settings for Android devices and iPhone. You can use them on any other Operating system, and they will work.

APN Settings on Android Phones

Access the APN setting section on Android  by navigating to:

  1. Settings
  2. Connections / Network & internet / Wireless & internet / More
  3. Mobile networks / SIMs then select Optimum Mobile
  4. Access point names
  5. Add  / +

Input the Optimum Mobile APN settings below on your Android device.

Leave all other fields blank or with their default configuration. Input the APN as is shown below.

  • Name: Optimum
  • APN: altice
  • MMSC: http://mms.altice.com/mmsc/MMS
  • MCC: 313
  • MNC: 390
  • APN type: default,mms,supl,fota
  • APN protocol: IPv4/IPv6
  • APN roaming protocol: IPv4/IPv6
  • MVNO Type: GID

Save then select Optimum as the APN. Restart your Android Device.

APN settings section on an iPhone can be located by navigating to:

  1. Settings
  2. Cellular / Mobile Data / Mobile Service
  3. Cellular Data Network / Mobile Data Network

Input the Optimum Mobile APN settings below for iPhones.

  • Username:
  • Password:

Save the settings by tapping the back arrow at the top then turn off and on your mobile data.
