Straight Talk APN (access point name) settings are required to connect to the cellular network and access network services provided by Straight Talk, chief among them is the internet. To successfully do this, you will need a data plan and be within network coverage. Straight Talk uses the Verizon network to provide coverage so network coverage should not be an issue.
APN is the name of the gateway on the service provider’s network. The settings however do not only contain the APN but also a host of other settings like the type of APN, protocol in use and MMS settings. They should be set as they are as they are unique to the Straight Talk network.
APN settings are ideally automatically set up when a device with Straight Talk SIM/eSIM tries to first connect to the network. In some cases, you need to set it manually and I have provided it below for Android devices and iOS / iPhones.
APN Settings on Android
Access the APN setting page by navigating to:
- Settings
- Connections / Network & internet / Wireless & internet / More
- Mobile networks / SIMs then select Straight Talk
- Access point names
- Add / +
Input the Straight Talk APN settings below.

Enter the settings below while leaving the figures not shown as default or leaving them blank.
- Name: Straight Talk
- APN: vzwinternet
- MMSC: http://mms.vtext.com/servlets/mms
- MMS Port: 80
- MCC: 310
- MNC:012
- APN type: default,mms,supl
- APN protocol: IPv4/IPv4
Save then select Straight Talk as your active APN.
If the APN provided above does not work, change it to TRACFONE.VZWENTP.
APN Settings on iPhone / iOS
Find the APN settings page on an iPhone by navigating to:
- Settings
- Cellular / Mobile Data / Mobile Service
- Cellular Data Network / Mobile Data Network
Input the Straight Talk APN settings below for iPhones.

Input the APN below while leaving the username and the password fields blank.

- Username:
- Password:
Tap the back arrow at the top to save then turn off and on your mobile data.
If the APN does not work, change it to TRACFONE.VZWENTP and try again.
